Something I struggle with is how sensitive I am body sensations, (sounds too), so much so I feel my heartbeat all the time. Connecting these sensations to specific emotions would be so incredibly helpful.
I love this feature! It’s very useful. I hope that in the future, the app can also suggest how to regulate each felt sensation in the body. But for now, this is brilliant. Cheers!
As a therapist, I do love this becoming available. Not only for my clients to be reminded to practice this as part of processing emotions, but for myself too. I do make an effort to 'practice what I preach' and this added feature will help with that. Thank you!
I love this idea of body sensation mapping and that there is science behind it. I’ll most certainly try and leave feedback. Thanks for the important work you are all doing.
Hello - I so appreciate the addition of somatics/embodiment! Brilliant and so key for continuing expanding our awareness of emotion and its impact on each of us. I was able to figure out how to "add" an additional tag, but only as a tag underneath the three existing categories :What are you doing? Who are you with and where are you. I deleted and reloaded the app thinking maybe I didn't have the most recent release but checked settings and I don't see a version number. Can you please advise on where I may have missed a step? I want to try this out first before sharing with others. With Gratitude, Christina
Hi Christina, thanks for the note! If you have the latest Apple version of the app, then scroll down to the bottom of the view where you apply tags. You should see a new component that let's you add a sensation. Please reach out to us at support@howwefeel.org if you need further assistance and we'll provide more guidance.
I just started using the app a few days ago and realized that I have a hard time finding which emotion I am feeling and that’s ok! It’s going to take sometime getting attuned to my emotions and feelings! Looking forward to seeing them more clearly!
I love somatic work and is a huge part of my checking in, can't wait for android version to add in to my app, the app is used by my family and our support teams
This is an extremely exciting new feature but so sad that it's not on Android yet. I waited so long for HWF to finally hit Android, so would love to see this feature soon! I have several clients using this app, as well as myself, and we all love it! Many are also Samsung users so this feature on Android would absolutely be worth it. Thank you so much for for adding to people's lives and helping them heal.

I searched and found my way to this article, even after a bit of time, because I would really really love to have this available for Android! A friend showed me How We Feel and I was most excited for this section of check-ins, due to the need for mind-body connection apps. I'm also a a Licensed Addiction Counselor and would love to be able to use this app as homework* for clients to begin building skills on their own! For all of it: checking in with themselves, reflecting, somatic therapy, grounding techniques, affirmations, activity tracking, etc. So please please please add body sensation mapping for android!
*I recognize How We Feel is not the same as therapy, but it's the closest app I've found in my profession and I would love to be able to use it fully personally and as a tool for helping others
What I appreciate about framing this as a daily check-in rather than a therapeutic intervention is that it normalises the practice of listening inward before a crisis makes it necessary. Most people only turn toward their body when something is already loud. The value of building that channel when things are quiet is genuinely underestimated.
I really hope to see this on Android soon.

We hope to add this feature to Android. Thank you for sharing this feedback with our team.
Agreed....android! I just started the How We Feel and think the body component would be sooooo helpful!

I’m utterly confused! I do not see any new component despite having the new Apple version of HWF. WTF?
