That's where our new weekly review comes in—now available on the latest versions of the How We Feel app for iOS and Android. Designed to help you uncover the weekly picture of your emotional journey, this AI-powered feature transforms your daily check-ins into meaningful insights. Imagine realizing that your Monday blues are due to restless weekend sleep, or how reconnecting with friends and family always fills you with gratitude. Weekly review helps you pause, reflect, and find clarity in the subtle, yet meaningful, moments that shape your week.
Your Week, Your Way
You can access the weekly review every Sunday. Whether you prefer a quick glance or a deeper dive, weekly review puts you in control. The feature is flexible and adapts to how you want to engage, ensuring your emotional journey remains as unique as you are.
Each week, the weekly review provides you with:
A summary of your check-ins.
Your emotion trends and patterns.
How it Works
Opting-in to AI features is the starting point to trying the new weekly review. After you’ve opted-in, you will be able to use the new experience for any of your past week-in reviews:
Opt-in: Start by opting-in to AI features in the app settings. (If you’ve already opted-in to Reflect, then you do not need to opt-in again.)
Check-in: Similar to the existing week-in review, you’ll need to check-in at least three times throughout the week to receive a week-in review. (Tip: more information included in your check-ins will result in higher quality insights.)
Weekly Review: Tap on the week-in review notification and/or tap on the week-in review card on the Check-in tab. (Scroll down on the Check in tab to find the weekly review.)
Review: Tap or swipe through the experience to get your personalized weekly insights.
Go deeper: Tap on the check-ins that appear throughout the weekly review if you’d like to review your check-in details.
Finish: When you are finished with the weekly review, tap on the ‘replay’ button to review again or on the ‘done’ button to close the weekly review.
Control and Privacy
At How We Feel, we know that journaling is deeply personal, and we take your privacy seriously.
Opt-In: AI features are designed to be fully self-directed. Even after opting-in, we only share data with OpenAI when you choose to activate the AI features by tapping on the buttons to engage them. If you’ve opted-in, then you can choose to opt-out any time. For more information about how your information is handled, please review our Privacy Policy.
Data Use: AI features currently utilize OpenAI’s ChatGPT 4o. We have worked with OpenAI to make sure your data is only used to provide the AI features to you. Your data is not used to train AI models.
Data Storage: When you use AI features, your responses are saved on your device, ensuring your data remains private. How We Feel has worked with OpenAI to make sure your data is not permanently stored on their servers.
Feedback: If you choose to send feedback on the response, then you will be sending the contents of your check-in (journal, reflection, affirmations, and insights) to our team. This data may be used to improve the experience.
