Finding the Patterns
A first look at the new Calendar tab and more ways to understand how you feel over time.
A first look at the new Calendar tab
Later this month, we’re planning to introduce a new experience in How We Feel. Before it rolls out more broadly, we wanted to give you an early look and invite a small group of iOS users to help us test it.
The current Analyze tab will become Calendar and move from the fourth tab to the second. This will make it easier to find and make reflecting on your check-ins a more central part of the app.
You’ll also be able to explore your check-ins across custom date ranges, so you can focus on the periods that feel most meaningful to you. And by choosing which charts appear, you can shape the experience around the information you find most useful.
We’re improving the charts and filters to make it easier to interact with your data, explore individual check-ins, and notice trends across weeks and months. The updated experience will also give us more flexibility to introduce new charts that help you explore patterns in your check-ins.
How We Feel can already help you compare your emotions with factors such as sleep, activity, steps, and caffeine. With this update, you’ll be able to opt in to these connections directly from the Calendar tab, and more easily create a PDF of your check-ins to save or share.
The goal is not simply to give you more data. It is to make it easier to notice the connections between your emotions, experiences, relationships, health, and routines.
Help us test Calendar
We’re looking for a small group of iOS users to try the new Calendar experience before it launches. To join the beta group, email us at support@howwefeel.org with the subject line Calendar Beta.
Because this experience is still being developed, some details may change based on what we learn from testers.
Community Spotlight
Meet Cara, a Florida-based therapist whose work offers an opportunity to slow down and make space for what may have gone unchecked. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in connection, drawing on relational-cultural therapy alongside trauma-informed CBT and somatic techniques.
Cara works with people across a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and identities, including professionals in the music industry. Her experience includes supporting artists and industry workers through the nonprofit Backline, working with immigrants at the U.S.–Mexico border, and supporting foster children in group homes. A former touring performance artist herself, she brings a firsthand understanding of creativity, community, and the pressures that can come with life in motion.
